• Cut a sheet of poster board to the standard size of 70 × 70 cm (or smaller for mini school cones, e.g., 15 × 15 cm).
• Use a pencil, ruler, and a piece of string to draw a large semicircle.
• Cut it out, roll it up, glue it shut – and the blank is ready! Tip: If you lightly dampen the tip, the cardboard will be easier to roll.

1. Craft the closure: Cut the blue crepe paper (70 × 50 cm) to size and glue it to the inside of the top edge.
