What does Demeter mean?
Like the well-known organic seal, a Demeter certification on food indicates the quality level of the product. However, to be certified by Demeter, our snacks have to meet even stricter requirements regarding the way raw materials are grown. This means that Demeter certification is higher than the organic seal – there is no higher quality.

What makes Demeter agriculture so special?
By specifically choosing Demeter quality, we help ensure that our natural world is preserved for future generations.
Because on Demeter farms, the natural cycle between nature, human and animals is at the centre of the work. In simple terms, this means that each Demeter farm only keeps as many animals as it needs to grow crops. The cow dung from the cows fertilises the plants in the fields and the harvested plants, in turn, feed the animals and people.
Every day, Demeter agriculture fosters biodiversity and animal welfare, along with the fertility of our soils, making Demeter products good not only for our bodies, but for our environment as well. . Das ist auch klimafreundlich!
Sustainable and responsible production
Along with high-quality raw materials, our delicious products also need the right recipe, because naturally they are supposed to taste good, especially to children. We spend months working on this with selected processing companies. We rely on long-term partnerships and fair, friendly cooperation. For example, our pizza sticks have been produced for many years by a traditional family business that is distinguished by its social commitment among other things. Plus the ingredients for our pizza sticks are grown in their own fields in Baden-Württemberg and processed directly.
Packaging: As sustainable as possible
Food is subject to strict packaging regulations. This is a good thing, because the quality and safety of food are important – and especially so when it comes to products for families. Nevertheless, as an organic company, product packaging that is as sustainable as possible is always an important issue to us, so we are continuously working on further improving our packaging.
For example, most of our packaging is made of monoplastic, which is very easy to recycle. Another big step in the right direction is demonstrated, for example, by our popular pouches: the packaging of our Demeter drinkable fruit pouches is made of 85 per cent organic plastic, which is based on the renewable raw material of sugar cane.
